About
Jon Quinn

“I started Quinn Essential Fitness because I am passionate about fitness and serving others through fitness education. This is a second career for me. I believe deeply in the power of fitness to transform lives.”
- Jon
Jon Quinn is a Certified Personal Trainer and former Air Force Captain. His dedication to fitness has spanned over twenty years of service in the military, the private sector, and in non-profit organizations.
From his initial weeks of basic training, to graduating first in his Reserve Officer Training Program at Syracuse University and throughout his career as an Air Force officer, Jon experienced first hand the benefits of group exercise – military style. As a training officer for new recruits, Jon designed and led programs to develop the strength, endurance, confidence, and discipline essential to active duty military service and leadership. From those early days of designing and running health and fitness programs for Air Force officer candidates, through preparing active duty military personnel for the physical and emotional rigors of deploying around the globe, to coaching and training family and members of his Brooklyn community, to working in health & fitness clubs, and even running marathons, Jon has experienced first hand a very fundamental truth: A healthy body – a body ready, able, and eager to move, to jump, to walk, to run, to work, to play – is the foundation for a healthy, happy mind and soul.
“Fitness is essential and should always be FUN!”
