To connect using TCP/IP from another computer, on the SQL Server computer you must configure the firewall to allow connections to the TCP port used by the Database Engine. As mentioned earlier, the default instance is usually listening on TCP port 1433. If you have named instances or if you changed the default, the SQL Server TCP port may be listening on another port. - I'm working on a multiplayer game, I created a custom C# server using TCPListner. I can't figure out how to send a players position to the server from the client side. I also couldn't figure out how to broadcast the position received from the client side to the rest of the players.

- Client opens an HTTP connection to an HTTP server and negotiates an upgrade to WebSocket, which then just generally behaves as a traditional TCP socket. Works great for centralized game servers, could probably work for most games, even fast paced ones, but I don't have experience with shooter games. I've never used a library for this before, because the WebSocket interface is pretty nice on it
